Community Manager – Contract



Media Profile is looking for a seasoned community manager to join our agency in a contract role beginning immediately. Our ideal candidate has experience in community engagement, content calendar creation, social media analytics and social strategy development.

The community manager is responsible for being the first point of contact for our client’s audiences on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn. This role involves daily monitoring and responding to consumers as well as liaising with the client to determine answers to incoming questions and comments from fans. The community manager will also be responsible for planning and creating content calendars, which includes copywriting, basic asset creation and collaborating with the design team. A client-facing role, the community manager receives and responds to client requests with support from senior client leads. Candidates will also be expected to contribute to the development of social media strategies and audits.


Required Skills/Experience

  • In-depth knowledge and ability to operate social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Snapchat and YouTube

  • Experience with a social media management tool such as Hootsuite, Agorapulse, Social Studio, Sprout Social, Sprinklr, Simply Measured, Khoros/Spredfast

  • Confidence in using Facebook Business Manager

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and the Google Suite

  • Strong knowledge of social platform copy and asset best practices

  • Basic editing skills using Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Canva or equivalent 

  • Strong attention to detail, specifically related to proofreading content prior to publishing and link testing

  • Strong command of the English language and ability to connect with audiences in a natural manner, using applicable brand tone and voice

  • Mastery over analytics tools including platform-specific insights offered by Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn

  • French/English bilingualism would be an asset

  • Candidates with experience developing social media strategies and/or conducting social media audits are preferred
