We’re hiring: Community Manager

Media Profile is looking for a community manager to join our growing digital team. Our ideal candidate has experience in community management, content development (copywriting, photo and video creation), digital media measurement and analytics, and to a lesser extent paid social planning and management.


Job Description
 
The community manager is responsible for the monitoring and management of digital and social communities. The candidate will coordinate and support the planning, execution and project management of key digital campaigns, media and programs in close communication with the digital strategist. The community manager applies social media listening to measure share of voice, consumer sentiment and monitor key conversation trends. The successful applicant will publish and monitor content performance and deliver quantitative and qualitative metrics.

Duties:
 
Planning

  • Support the development of social media and digital communications strategies

Calendar management

  • Support the development of content calendars
  • Source quality user-generated content that aligns with brand aesthetic
  • Publish text and visual assets on social platforms
  • Assist with shot lists and copy proposals for live activations as required

Community Management

  • Monitor audience conversations to deliver high-value engagement that supports client strategy and cultivates brand advocacy
  • Issues management and response escalation
  • Stay attuned to industry trends and best-in-class examples of digital content and activity
  • Minimal weekend and evening coverage required

Measurement and analysis

  • Monitor ongoing content performance
  • Gather performance metrics and qualitative insights
  • Prepare social media listening reports
  • Support with new business and social media audits as required

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge and ability to operate social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Snapchat and YouTube – and other social platforms as the landscape evolves
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools (particularly Excel) and Google Suite
  • Strong knowledge of social platform visual and copy best practices
  • Basic editing skills using Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Canva or equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail, specifically related to proofreading content prior to publishing and link testing
  • Strong command of the English language and ability to connect with audiences in a constructive, proactive manner, using applicable brand tone and voice
  • Mastery over analytics tools including, but not limited, to Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, LinkedIn Analytics, Google Analytics, AgoraPulse and Sysomos
  • Familiarity with Facebook Business Manager and other account management tools
  • Power user of AgoraPulse, HootSuite, Buffer, Sprout Social or other social publishing platforms
  • French/English bilingualism would be an asset
